Women of Heart Awards began with a simple, powerful conviction: the quiet heroism of women should never go unseen. Across communities, generations and borders, their generosity and strength keep hope alive.
We honour not only achievements, but the lives touched along the way. Through recognition, storytelling and shared purpose, WOHA celebrates the dignity, equality and boundless potential of women everywhere.
Dr Desziree Richardson founded Women of Heart Awards to bring attention to extraordinary women whose kindness, leadership and service create lasting change.
Her message on the official WOHA website describes volunteering, kindness and community support as the inspiration behind Women of Heart Foundation and the awards platform. She wanted everyday acts of humanity to be seen and remembered.
WOHA began its inaugural awards in 2020, when an online ceremony recognised 50 women during the pandemic. Its work now reaches audiences through London, Dubai and connected international initiatives.
Richardson also developed Face of WOHA, a sister platform that connects women through public speaking, fashion, mentorship and networking. The shared vision is to celebrate achievements while encouraging the next generation to find confidence and purpose.
