Dame Shanida Wray

Bio

Shanida Wray is a highly acclaimed businesswoman, entrepreneur, and philanthropist hailing from Chicago, IL. Despite growing up in one of the most impoverished and crime-ridden communities, she understood early on that her future was determined by the decisions she made, not by her environment. Through resilience and determination, Shanida has defied societal stigmas, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Theater and Early Childhood Education, followed by a Master of Science in Management, and various certifications in Teaching Director Management.

Raised by her immigrant parents, Esteban and Isabel Wray, Shanida developed a strong work ethic and deep faith, qualities that shaped her into a leader. As a sought-after missions ambassador, she has spearheaded outreach initiatives across Central America and the Caribbean. Her mantra, “We are blessed to be a blessing,” embodies her philanthropic spirit.

Shanida’s passion for mentorship, public speaking, and life coaching led her to establish the mentorship group “Women Evolve,” fostering sisterhood and support for women from diverse backgrounds. She is also the lead liaison for community outreach at Activate Church International and has secured a partnership with Amazon to distribute essential goods to low-income residents. Her ministry continues through annual community adoptions serving both locally and internationally.
